Job DescriptionWe are searching for 2 Maintenance Associates for full time employment. The position requires attendance Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with an hour lunch. Pay is $20.00 to $23.00/hour depending on experience. Job comes with Medical and Dental paid at 100% by the organization. Ancillary benefits are available such as Vision, Short Term Disability, and 403b program but at Employee's expense.
- Applicant must have working knowledge of electrical and plumbing; license not required. Duties include but are not limited to, make readies, preventative maintenance and work orders.
- Experience in working with the elderly and some knowledge of the aging process preferred.
- Ability to organize and manage preventative maintenance duties, work orders and schedule priorities.
- Knowledge of the English language and able to understand and carry out written/oral communication.
- Able to perform heavy lifting duties including lifting up to 50-70 lbs., prolonged sitting, repeated bending, squatting, stooping, standing, pushing, pulling movements, extended walking and ability to work in tight spaces.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills as well as good communication, organizational, writing, and problem solving skills.
- Must be flexible and a team player.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be able to work in conjunction with the Director of Campus Administration since many tasks overlap.
- Must have patience in working with residents of many cultures, speaking multiple languages, with many disabilities.
- Administrative and Recordkeeping duties including but not limited to developing and maintain controls and schedules, accurate documentation for department and subordinate staff, trend and track budgets, passing REAC inspections with scores of 90 or above.
- Responsible for keeping all fire prevention equipment and building inspections current and working appropriately.
- Coordinate cleaning and preparation of make readies, be responsible for cleaning, related work orders, maintenance of sidewalks and driveways during icy weather, set up for property events, and pest control, preventative maintenance and other tasks as assigned.
- Experience in inventory orders, tracking, vendor acquisition and vendor management; updating supply and/or material inventory lists, purchasing needs, and usage of same for this location.
- Work with Community Coordination Team
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID
19 or willing to be vaccinated for employment. - Any other duties as assigned.
Including but not limited to the ability to repair simple plumbing leaks in kitchen and bathrooms, replace faucets, replace cartridges in shower heads, unclog toilets, repair toilets, change light bulbs, change electrical sockets, change smoke alarms and smoke alarm batteries, replace water heaters, hang blinds, use tools such as electric drills, wet/dry vacuums, voltage meters, augers and hand tools. Many other handyman type repairs.
