** Responsibilities:
*** Lead and mentor a team of buyers, subcontracts management specialists, and category leads, fostering a culture of excellence.
* Continuously improve the supply base to support program and business area requirements.
* Develop and implement strategic material plans and forecasts to align with program demands.
* Partner with executive management, program management, and other departments to ensure supply chain activities meet company objectives.
* Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve supply chain risks and issues.
* Lead the discovery and implementation of new technologies and processes to enhance supply chain efficiency.
* Establish, track, and communicate key performance indicators to ensure supply chain visibility and goal achievement.
* Prepare and manage capital, contract equipment, and facility requests to meet program and company demands.
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** Bachelor's degree in a related field.
* 9+ years of experience in operations or a related area.
* Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of related experience is required.
* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
* In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
* In-depth working knowledge of Commodity, Category and Sourcing Management.
* Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements.
* Ability to read and understand technical requirements.
* Excellent negotiations skills.
* Candidate must have Supply Chain Management skills.
** Qualifications We Prefer:
*** Master’s degree in a relevant field.
* Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
* Experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts.
* Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance.
* Experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P)/Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems.

* Essential Functions:

*** Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
* Proficiency in using a computer for extended periods.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
* Regular travel may be required for supplier visits and audits.
