About the Role
The Director/Senior Corporate Counsel will serve as a senior leader within the Legal Department, providing strategic legal guidance to support the company’s rapid growth in the fiber telecommunications sector. This role will help the organization navigate complex regulatory environments, commercial transactions, infrastructure deployment, and operational risk.
Key Responsibilities Legal Leadership & Strategy- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Legal Officer, executive leadership, and business units on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters.
- Lead and mentor members of the Legal Department, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Manage legal projects to improve legal department efficiency.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including customer and vendor contracts, network expansion agreements, and service-level commitments.
- Support the Sales team to drive revenue growth, resolve disputes, and handle responses to RFPs.
- Assist with financing activities, credit facilities, and strategic partnerships.
- Provide legal oversight for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across the business, including operational, contractual, and regulatory risks.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to support commercial transactions, ensure compliance, and promote operational excellence.
- Foster cross-collaboration between the Legal Department and other departments to advance key projects and improve and document processes.
- J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 8+ years of legal experience, including significant in‑house or law firm experience in telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, or a related‑regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications law and infrastructure deployment issues.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives and provide practical, actionable
