DataStage Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Stage Developer for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX
.

$60 - $68/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Stage Developer to design, develop, and maintain ETL solutions using IBM Data Stage. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data integration, database design, and Agile development practices. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality data solutions that support business objectives.

• ETL Development:
  Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes using IBM Data Stage for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Database Design:
  Create and maintain logical and physical database models; ensure data integrity and performance optimization.
• Agile Delivery:
  Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and deliver incremental value in a fast‑paced environment.
• Data Integration:
  Work with multiple data sources (relational, flat files, APIs) and integrate them into enterprise data warehouses.
• Performance Tuning:
  Optimize ETL jobs and database queries for scalability and efficiency.
• Documentation:
  Maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and database schemas.
• Collaboration:
  
  Partner with business analysts, data architects, and QA teams to ensure requirements are met and solutions are tested thoroughly.
• Troubleshooting:
  Diagnose and resolve issues in ETL workflows and data pipelines.

• 8+ years of experience with IBM Data Stage (parallel and server jobs).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Hands‑on experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting ETL jobs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior developers.
