Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Financial Reporting Systems Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert within its Financial Reporting Development team. This role is responsible for supporting the design, development, and enhancement of financial reporting and analytics solutions, with a strong focus on Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (HEPM) and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of hands-on experience and deep expertise in Oracle HFM, including rule development, custom reporting, and application support.
Financial Systems Subject Matter Expertise- Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for Oracle HEPM/HFM applications and financial reporting systems.
- Design, develop, and enhance Oracle HFM applications, including rule development, metadata management, and custom reporting solutions.
- Create, maintain, and enhance HFR reports and HFS files using HFR Reporting Studio.
- Manage metadata, including accounts, entities, and dimensions, and support ad-hoc reporting through Smart View.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and translate financial data requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and present technical business cases, current and future-state process documentation, and system integration recommendations.
- Participate in technology and business releases, including user story creation, test plan development, execution, and validation.
- Troubleshoot system issues, provide user support, and deliver report development and training to end users.
- Partner with internal support teams to migrate enhancements into production in accordance with change management policies.
- Support financial reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Partner with accounting stakeholders to implement system enhancements and resolve reporting issues.
- Contribute to internal and external audit requirements, including SOX and ITGC compliance.
- Develop and maintain system-related controls for consolidations and reporting platforms.
- Facilitate business process design and redesign sessions; document workflows and methodologies.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance internal controls and reporting efficiencies, including improved use of Microsoft Excel in Finance.
- Develop and support integration patterns, including OAuth
2.0 grant types (Authorization Code with PKCE, Client Credentials). - Design and implement role-based and attribute-based access control models (RBAC/ABAC) for granular access enforcement.
- Support enterprise architecture standards and promote best practices in system design and deployment.
- Provide documentation, training materials, and mentorship to internal technical teams as needed.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5-6 years of hands-on technical and analytical experience in financial systems.
- Strong expertise in Oracle HFM and Oracle HEPM.
- Proven experience with HFM rule development and application capabilities/operations.
- Advanced experience creating and maintaining HFR reports and HFS files.
- Experience with Smart View for reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
- Working knowledge of FDMEE, DRM, and batch scripting.
- Intermediate SQL skills.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- MBA or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Familiarity with intercompany eliminations and SAP code blocks.
- Experience with deployment and configuration of connector server clients enabling SSO and MFA across multiple Active Directory domains.
- Hybrid work schedule (onsite three days per week).
- This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
