Security Engineer

The Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures and automation processes for a combined IoT and cloud based ecosystem. This role requires a proactive individual who can identify security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and automate security tasks to improve efficiency and security of IoT devices. This is a hands on role involving both security compliance and implementation of security infrastructure.

• Design and implement security to protect IoT devices, and the associated cloud infrastructure from cyber threats.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline build, test, and deploy processes and improve efficiency for IoT device development and manufacturing.
• Identify potential security risks related to IoT devices and develop mitigation strategies to ensure their safety.
• Respond to security incidents and breaches involving IoT devices, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to device security and data protection.
• Work closely with other teams to integrate security measures and automation processes for security into their workflows.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and refining security and automation processes for security compliance.

• Proven experience in security engineering for device and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of IoT security principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and risk mitigation skills.
• Experience in incident response and security compliance for IoT devices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Relevant certifications in IoT security and automation are a plus.
