Network Engineer

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX
. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience across routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, wireless, and AWS networking, along with deep troubleshooting and operational skills in enterprise network environments.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour

The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Perform hands-on work in Routing & Switching, Load Balancing, Firewall, VPN, Cisco Wireless, SD-WAN, and AWS networking.
• Manage and maintain Firewall policies, ensuring proper configuration and compliance.
• Troubleshoot incidents related to Routing & Switching, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPN, and Wireless technologies.
• Perform day-to-day operational tasks, including incident resolution, service requests, and change requests for Network Data & Security.
• Generate monthly and quarterly Firewall Audit Reports and support Network Capacity Management efforts.
• Provide timely response to break/fix issues and assist in resolving all network-related incidents.
• Plan, review, and execute network change requests, ensuring adherence to standards.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 9–12 years of experience in network engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Routing & Switching, Load Balancing, Firewall, VPN, Wireless, SD-WAN, and AWS networking.
• Experience troubleshooting incidents across network and security domains.
• Hands-on exposure to VPN troubleshooting and deep understanding of load balancing.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
