AWS Sr. Cloud Infra Architect

Akkodis is seeking an AWS Sr. Cloud Infra Architect for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. This role leads the design of scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $68/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Design and architect secure, scalable AWS infrastructure aligned with cloud‑native patterns and the AWS Well‑Architected Framework.
• Lead IaC automation using Terraform/Open Tofu and CI/CD (Git Hub Actions/Jenkins) for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle orchestration.
• Perform capacity planning, monitoring, upgrades, and performance optimization across stateful and stateless application workloads.
• Define and enforce security and compliance controls for AWS environments, including governance, standards, and best practices.
• Develop technology roadmaps and drive continuous improvement through standardized processes, methodologies, and tooling adoption.
• Collaborate with architecture and delivery teams to assess feasibility, scope solutions, and ensure end‑to‑end integration across Plan, Build, Deploy, and Operate phases.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years overall, including 5+ years of hands‑on AWS infrastructure architecture and cloud‑native solution design.
• Proven expertise in designing and provisioning AWS infrastructure using Terraform/Open Tofu, with strong knowledge of cloud‑native patterns and the AWS Well‑Architected Framework.
• Strong understanding of AWS security, compliance, and full infrastructure lifecycle management, including capacity planning, monitoring, automation, and CI/CD integrations.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $68.00 per hour
