Data Scientist

Akkodis is seeking a Data Scientist for a Contract with a client in San Antonio, TX / Plano, TX
. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong expertise in Python, R, SQL, and core machine‑learning techniques to be considered for this role.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $60/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, correlations, and actionable insights.
• Build, train, and optimize machine‑learning models for classification, regression, forecasting, and other business use cases.
• Develop clear data visualizations and reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business leaders to define problems, shape strategy, and recommend data‑driven solutions.
• Maintain, validate, and update models regularly to ensure long‑term accuracy and performance.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 8–10 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
• Must demonstrate strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and machine‑learning frameworks such as Scikit‑learn, Tensor Flow, or PyTorch.
• Must be able to clearly communicate complex analytical insights to non‑technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $60.00 per hour
