A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Network Engineer

Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois 60181 Hybrid

• Build & Optimize Networks:
  Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches for branch upgrades and greenfield site builds.
• Support Network Refresh Cycles:
  From staging equipment to coordinating logistics and onsite activities, you’ll help bring our refresh programs to life.
• Own the Change Process:
  Submit, track, and manage change requests through enterprise ticketing tools keeping everything compliant and on track.
• Collaborate Across Teams:
  Work closely with engineers, project partners, and real estate teams to execute customer-driven initiatives.
• Be Part of Agile Delivery:
  Engage in a two-week sprint rhythm (no daily standups!).
• Create Clear Documentation:
  Capture configurations, process updates, and procedures for operational handoffs.
• Troubleshoot Like a Pro:
  Help diagnose and resolve network performance challenges.
• Shape the Future:
  Contribute to network automation and infrastructure as code improvements using tools like Ansible and Python.

• Experience:
  • With Degree: 3–5 years in Cisco-based network engineering
  • Without Degree: 6–8 years hands‑on, proven experience
• Cisco Expertise:
  Strong, practical experience with router and switch configuration, deployment, and support.
• SD‑WAN Familiarity:
  Exposure‑level knowledge is welcome.
• Process Driven:
  Experience with enterprise ticketing and change‑management workflows.
• Strong Communicator:
  Able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across functions.

• Required:
  
  CCNA
• Preferred: CCNP

• Experience with network automation tools such as:
  • Ansible (especially YAML proficiency)
  • Python scripting
• Comfortable working independently within large cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Background in enterprise environments.
• Experience in the utility sector a plus.
• Exposure to Fortune 200–500 organizations a plus.

Pay Range*: $77.00 - $82.75 per hour

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
