Plano, Texas (Onsite 5x/week)

Pay is $145-170K plus bonu, medical, dental, vision, PTO

We are exclusively working with a client in the financial services industry on a direct hire Senior Data Engineer opportunity based in Plano, Texas. This is a highly technical role requiring strong business acumen and deep banking domain knowledge.

Due to the nature of this position, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.

Our client operates in a complex banking environment with over 100 integrated applications and numerous third-party data feeds flowing in and out of their systems. The Senior Data Engineer will play a critical role in managing data extraction, transformation, integration, and optimization across this ecosystem.

This role requires someone who understands both the technical and functional sides of banking systems and can communicate effectively with business leaders.

• Design, develop, and manage ETL processes (extract, transform, load) across a large SaaS-based application environment
• Integrate data feeds from 100+ internal and third-party applications
• Perform complex data transformations and optimize data workflows
• Work within Databricks (hosted in AWS) to support enterprise data initiatives
• Support and enhance data pipelines across multiple banking systems
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure accurate and meaningful data integration
• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with ETL processes and data transformations
• Expertise with Databricks
• Experience working in AWS environments
• Strong understanding of SaaS-based data integrations
• Direct experience within a banking or financial services environment (required)
• Familiarity with banking applications, account types (consumer, commercial, etc.), and financial data structures
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior business leaders

• Experience with large financial institutions
• Familiarity with FIS / IBS systems
• Experience with Hub Spot, Q2, Mantl, or similar banking platforms

• Senior-level professional with strong technical depth and business acumen
• Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly integrated environment
• Driven, solution-oriented, and able to identify and execute on priorities independently
