MES Solution Architect – Digital Manufacturing; North America

Overview

At Pepsi Co Inc, is seeking a Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Manager for our Snack Foods business located in Plano, TX location. As a MES Manager for Manufacturing Systems, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, implementation, and management of technology solutions across our food manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that IT services align with IT strategic, business objectives and effectively support manufacturing processes.

Collaborating closely with IT and business stakeholders, you will lead initiatives to evaluate, implement, and optimize MES technology solutions and KPI dashboards while ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and standards.

, the MES Solution Engineer must have a strong desire to demonstrate their technical skills while having in-depth understanding of the business and be able to effectively present and demonstrate solutions to the problems to an executive audience.

Responsibilities - MES Ownership of Manufacturing Execution Systems Service. Technology solutions supporting manufacturing operations, spanning both IT and OT domains.

• Cross-disciplinary Collaboration - Collaborate with business stakeholders, other Manufacturing IT service system owners, and operational units to understand requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate business needs into scalable and effective technical solutions.
• Technology Evaluation and Recommendation - Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and solutions to support manufacturing operations, aligning with OT and IT strategies.
• Comprehensive Solution Architecture - Develop and contribute to comprehensive architecture plans for manufacturing technology solutions, considering factors such as system integration, scalability, performance, support, data analytics and security.
• Technical Leadership and Guidance - Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the lifecycle of solution implementation, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. Oversee the addition of new features and upgrades to their existing MES through newer technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and digital twins.
• Develop and leverage best practices from Pepsi Co divisions as well as from other industries to deliver world class performance in plant and equipment design.
• Multisite Implementation and Sustain:
  Ensuring MES Solution implemented successfully across the manufacturing plants and platforms with core capability and IT /OT system interface. Ensuring the sustainability of technology and applications on security compliance and capability enhancement and alignment product roadmaps
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to daily production issues related to System. Troubleshoot issues using log files, events, etc.

• The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250.
• Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
• Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Service Owner or similar role in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on Manufacturing technology solutions
• Strong Understanding of reference architectures such as ISA

  MML and ERP integration
• 5-8 years of experience with IT, OT, MES, and IIoT systems, applications, and technologies in a manufacturing environment.
• 5-8 years of experience working on and expertise knowledge of GE Proficy MES suite of products with Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio .NET or Java Script programming, Python and etc.
• Knowledge of HMI Systems, PLC and SCADA integration with MES Platforms
• Experience in Thing Worx platform design and implementation shall be added advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and disciplines, senior leadership presentations.
