The Information Technology (IT) Service Desk Technician is responsible for installing or upgrading components, setting up software, assisting with network administration, and resolving all IT support issues. The IT Service Desk Technician must be able to provide 24/7 support, must be readily available to offer the necessary support when needed. T his position will follow the direction of the Director of Information Technology and/or other members of the management team.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Provides technical support identifying, investigating, and resolving users’ problems with computer software and hardware for problems specific to the organization’s computer networks and systems
  • Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.
  • Collaborates with other staff to research and resolve problems.
  • Collaborates with systems and network administrators to explain errors and/or recommend modifications to systems and networks
  • Arranges service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products
  • Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends
  • Installing new software and hardware components
  • Regularly evaluating our IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands
  • Ensuring data storage is safe and secure at all times
  • Orders computers, laptops, tablets, cell phones and other equipment as needed
  • Ensure anti-virus software is installed, properly configured, and regularly updated
  • Maintain business relations with equipment vendors and service providers
  • Perform data entry via internal and vendor systems
  • Utilize active directory to manage users and permissions
  • Educating employees about network security and best practices for computer usage
  • Provide office business support as needed
  • Ability to multi-task all functions of the job
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications Requirements
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook in an exchange or Office 365 environment.
  • Proficient with IOS, Windows, and Android devices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems on desktop / laptop / mobile devices.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management
  • Experience with Remote Support Applications and ITIL based Ticketing Systems
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or relevant field or combination of work and education is preferable.
  • Professional certification (CCNS, CISSP, MCSE)
