Senior Azure Data Engineering Lead

We are seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and evolution of our enterprise data platform. This role will lead the architecture and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and strategic decision-making across the organization.

• Architect, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines within Azure data services.
• Design and implement API-driven data integrations to support growing data complexity and system interoperability.
• Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and BI developers to enhance data models and improve reporting performance (Power BI).
• Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes across diverse enterprise data sources.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Establish and enforce data governance, quality, lineage, and metadata management frameworks.
• Lead long‑term data platform strategy in collaboration with business and technology teams.
• Implement CI/CD workflows and Dev Ops best practices using tools such as Git.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional Agile initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related fields.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Python and SQL

• Deep experience with dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and database design.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and secure data design.
• Experience working in Agile/Dev Ops environments with CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading enterprise data migrations and large-scale transformations.
• Familiarity with Azure data governance tools such as Purview.
