Overview
This role will provide subject matter expertise across Property & Casualty insurance domains while leading data and analytics initiatives. This Business Analyst will bridge insurance operations and data platforms to deliver insights supporting actuarial, regulatory, and business performance needs. Extensive experience across Policy, Billing, Claims, Reinsurance, and Enterprise Data environments is required.
Responsibilities- Guide analytics initiatives across Policy, Billing, Claims, and Reinsurance domains.
- Support policy lifecycle processes including quoting, underwriting, renewals, and endorsements.
- Work on billing and collections workflows including payments, commissions, and schedules.
- Support the Claims Intake, Assessment, Fraud Detection, and Settlement processes.
- Apply insurance domain knowledge to actuarial, regulatory, and KPI-driven analytics use cases.
- Contribute to designing and troubleshooting data lineage across enterprise platforms.
- Work with data lakes, warehouses, marts, and analytical models.
- Collaborate on integrating core systems with external platforms.
- Support API-driven data exchanges between third-party and internal services.
- Provide guidance on emerging technologies supporting automation and analytics.
- 5-10 years of experience in the P&C Insurance domain.
- In-depth knowledge of Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, and Reinsurance Operations.
- Hands-on experience supporting data analytics or reporting initiatives.
- Proficiency working with enterprise data platforms and analytical frameworks.
- Ability to translate business needs into analytics-focused solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with policy administration platforms, including Guidewire or Duck Creek.
- Exposure to claims automation, fraud analytics, or machine learning use cases.
- Familiarity with API integrations and enterprise platforms.
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting or actuarial analytics.
- Advanced degree or certifications related to data, analytics, or insurance.
