Data Platform Dev Ops Consultant (Contract)

Akkodis is seeking a Data Platform Dev Ops Consultant for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. You will be responsible for leading operations of scalable, reliable data platforms and driving automation and CI/CD enablement.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $75/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Lead operations and modernization of scalable, reliable data platforms with a focus on automation, CI/CD enablement, and performance optimization.
• Ensure platform reliability, observability, and compliance with SOX and regulatory standards across mission-critical enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineering, infrastructure, security, and compliance to deploy and maintain data pipelines.
• Drive implementation of self-service capabilities and enhance monitoring and health engineering across platforms.
• Manage cloud platform operations (AWS) and integrate Snowflake and Informatica solutions for data-intensive financial platforms.
• Provide leadership in vendor governance, cost optimization, and operational excellence while building high-performing teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related engineering field (master’s preferred or equivalent experience).
• 15+ years in Dev Ops/Cloud Operations with 10+ years focused on data platform operations and reliability.
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud operations, CI/CD automation, observability (monitoring/alerting), and SRE practices; hands‑on with Snowflake and Informatica in regulated (SOX) environments.
• Proven leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills to drive platform reliability and compliant data pipeline deployments across Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Security, and Compliance teams.
