Overview
Healthcare Implementation Business Analyst sought to support a highly visible SaaS implementation initiative. The BA will serve as the primary requirements authority and documentation owner, partnering with Project Managers, Engineering, Product, and Client Stakeholders. Responsibilities include ensuring what is built is correct, compliant, feasible, and understood before and during execution. Ideal candidates have healthcare payer domain experience, thrive in complex implementations, and operate with a consultative, product-owner mindset.
This role is the sole BA on the project, supporting project leadership visibility and executive deliverables.

- Lead requirements discovery through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions
- Synthesize business needs into clear, detailed, and compliance-ready BRDs
- Ensure requirements documentation withstands regulatory, audit, and compliance review
- Translate requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria with traceability throughout the lifecycle
- Continuously validate requirements for completeness, feasibility, and alignment with business objectives
- Act as the primary bridge between engineering, product, project management, and client stakeholders
- Challenge assumptions on business and engineering sides
- Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and unintended consequences early
- Offer alternative solutions, improvements, and best-practice recommendations
- Ensure technical teams understand business intent and constraints
- Collaborate with Project Managers to clarify scope, requirements, and dependencies
- Provide PMs with documentation and insights for project and executive meetings
- Support system configuration, integrations, data exchanges, and testing from a requirements perspective
- Participate in workflow mapping, gap analysis, and solution validation
- Maintain follow-up discipline to resolve open items and document outcomes
- Participate in weekly senior leadership meetings, presenting requirements, risks, and solution readiness
- Present documentation, decisions, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- 2+ years within the healthcare domain (ideally healthcare payer-side implementations); strong understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience on large-scale, complex SaaS implementation projects
- Strong background producing high-quality, compliant BRDs
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments, including epics and user stories
- Ability to dig deeply into requirements, ask probing questions, and identify risks early
- Comfort operating in high-visibility, executive-facing projects
The ideal candidate is comfortable discussing how systems exchange data, understands integration patterns, and can translate technical constraints into business language without confusion. This role is not hands-on engineering, but requires strong fluency in healthcare administrative technology, including:
- SaaS-based healthcare platforms
- Data exchanges, integrations, and workflows
- SFTP processes
- APIs and file-based data transfers
- Common healthcare data formats and text files
