Job Description

The People Soft Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering People Soft upgrade enhancement and support projects within scope, budget, and timeline. This role involves coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to project management best practices.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
  • Experience with People Soft FSCM implementations, upgrade and support.
  • Experience in People Soft Finance Modules (GL/PC, AR Billing, Sales & Earning).
  • Knowledge of People Soft Update Manager (PUM) and upgrade methodologies.
  • May require occasional travel and after‑hours support during critical phases.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end People Soft finance projects from initiation to closure.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Manage scope, budget, and schedule while mitigating risks and issues.
  • Coordinate with technical and functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering sessions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
  • Oversee testing, training, and deployment activities.
  • Manage customer relationships and third‑party integration's.
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practices in project execution.
  • Experience with ITIL methodologies.
Generic Managerial Skills
  • Strong understanding of People Soft modules and architecture.
  • Proven experience in managing large‑scale ERP implementations or upgrades.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Service‑Now, etc.).
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
