Release Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Release Manager who is responsible for planning, preparing, and coordinating deployment activities across multiple technical teams. This role involves consolidating release details into a comprehensive runbook, managing change requests, and hosting collaborative calls to review and finalize deployment sequences. In the role, this individual will be responsible for documentation and reporting to Senior Leaders/Stakeholders, coordinating software testing, managing multiple apps while mitigating risk, and collaborating with Development Managers.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has excellent project management skills and ideally comes from a development or business analyst background. This individual must have excellent communication and presentation skills, as they will be working with technology executives on a regular basis. This is 3x onsite in Plano, TX.

• 8+ years in release management or related roles.
• Strong background in deployment planning, change management, and release coordination.
• Great understanding of software architecture and agile methodology
• Hands-on experience with scripting for automation and deployment tasks, including:
• Ability to review, validate, and coordinate execution of scripts during releases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and integration with deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Oracle and preferably SAP for database-related release activities.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills; ability to lead cross-functional meetings.
