Oracle HCM Senior Staff Engineer

Responsibilities- Solution Design:
Design comprehensive Oracle HCM solutions across Core HR, Benefits, and other modules, ensuring alignment with requirements and industry best practices. - Implementation
Experience:
Lead end-to-end implementation of Oracle HCM modules, including configuration, customization, and integration with other systems. Act as SME for all HCM modules. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate closely with business and product teams to understand needs and provide expert guidance on Oracle HCM capabilities and best practices. - Technical Expertise:
Provide technical expertise and mentorship to implementation team, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to project timelines. Conduct POCs to demonstrate capabilities. - System Integration and Data Migration:
Design and manage integrations between Oracle HCM and third‑party systems (e.g., ERP, payroll providers). Oversee data migration activities, ensuring accuracy and data integrity. - Compliance and Security:
Ensure solutions comply with relevant regulations and security standards, implementing necessary controls and measures. - Performance Optimization:
Continuously identify opportunities to optimize processes for efficiency and accuracy. - Troubleshooting:
Address and resolve technical issues related to implementations, providing ongoing support and maintenance. - Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, customizations, and deployment processes. - Training:
Provide training and support to end-users and technical teams on Oracle HCM functionalities and best practices.
- Experience
- Proven experience as an Oracle HCM Lead with expertise in core HR and Benefits modules.
- Strong end‑to‑end knowledge of Benefits configurations/setups.
- 10+ years of overall experience with HCM/HR solutions.
- Lead design, configuration, and support of Oracle HCM Cloud Benefits module.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
- Configure benefit plans, eligibility profiles, rates, and enrollment rules in Oracle HCM Cloud.
- Manage integrations with third‑party benefits vendors (e.g., insurance carriers, retirement providers).
- Experience with Benefits Fast Formula, benefits eligibility profiles.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ACA, Equifax) and company policies.
- Perform system testing, troubleshoot issues, and provide resolution for benefits‑related functionalities.
- Hands‑on experience with flex fields, HDLs, spreadsheet loader, functional configuration manager, user‑defined tables, value sets.
- Establish, develop and maintain reports using OTBI/BIP (e.g., Benefits enrollment, eligibility, compliance).
- Hands‑on experience with OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud) is a must.
- Support system upgrades, patches, and new feature implementations.
- Strong understanding of other Oracle HCM Cloud modules and implementation methodologies.
- Experience with conversion, data migration and integration tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Technical Skills
- Hands‑on experience with HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, HDL, and OTBI.
- Proficiency in integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or other middleware tools.
- VBCS, Redwood and understanding of Agentic AI.
- Functional Knowledge
- Deep knowledge of HR processes and related Oracle HCM modules.
- Project Management
- Ability to lead projects using Agile methodologies.
- Communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Preferred Skills and Experience
- Prior work experience with union‑based clients.
- Oracle HCM certifications.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards related to HCM systems.
- Experience with People Soft HR and Workforce Management solutions is a plus.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI for HCM.

Salient Salary Range (CA, CO, WA & IL): $157,900 to $205,300 annually. Starting salary will vary based on location, experience, and qualifications. Flexibility may be available for exceptional candidates.
