Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a highly skilled Network Datacenter Consultant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in managing complex network infrastructures within large enterprise environments. As a Network Datacenter Consultant, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our data center networks.
Responsibilities- Design and implement core and edge routing and switching solutions using platforms like Cisco/Nexus, Juniper, and Arista in LAN/WAN/MAN environments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Expertly manage routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and RIP, ensuring robust network connectivity.
- Configure and maintain network service platforms such as F5, Info Blox, and ACI, enhancing data center operations.
- Develop and implement network security measures, including device configuration and troubleshooting across platforms like ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, and Illumio.
- Utilize scripting languages like Python to automate network operations and enhance system efficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and drive success of various business applications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- At least 10+ years of network experience in a large enterprise global environment.
- 15+ years of industry experience, preferably with cross-functional team interaction.
- CCIE certification or equivalent knowledge and experience in network engineering.
- Strong experience with SD-WAN/MPLS technologies and SBC device configuration (e.g., Viptela, Velo Cloud, Versa).
- Proficiency in QoS and network security protocols with a strong understanding of network layer protocols.
- Experience with wireless technologies and remote access technologies like VPN and SSL.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work remotely and manage tasks effectively across a distributed team.
Pay Range: $60.00 – $65.00 Hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
