As a Lead Tableau Engineer, an individual is responsible for designing and developing Tableau Dashboards according to application requirements and demands of the business. Responsible for the development and administration, their main duty is to transform raw data into meaningful insights through interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports. The role of a Tableau developer is vital for businesses because of the executive, strategic, and managerial responsibilities that come with it.
Professionals are expected to perform a wide range of tasks such as reporting, building dashboards, creating data models, analyzing datasets, and administration. They need to be quality and customer-focused when approaching new products, possessing well-developed reporting and design research skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall, 8 years of relevant experience.
- Designing dashboards using visualization tools with Tableau.
- Using SQL for managing large volumes of data.
- Communicating with customers to analyze historical data and identify KPIs.
- Improving data processing speed by building SQL automations.
- Tweaking SQL Queries for optimal performance.
- Ensuring the team delivers reports as per the requirements.
- Analyzing data to identify trends and share insights.
- Implementing Tableau mobile dashboards with the Tableau mobile application.
- Creating thematic heat maps using Map Info.
- Recognizing areas for automation.
- Restricting data for particular users with User filters.
- Producing support documentation and keeping existing documentation up to date.
- Carrying out root cause analysis investigations.
