RGP is seeking an experienced accounting consultant highly skilled in Black Line to support a high‑profile transformation initiative for a Dallas‑based client. This role will oversee the Black Line administration function and team, with full ownership of system governance, controls, data management, and reporting. The engagement is contract‑to‑hire and is especially well‑suited for a hands‑on leader with Black Line implementation and optimization experience who can partner closely with an active SAP implementation project.
The consultant will serve as the primary interface between Black Line and the SAP project team, ensuring seamless integration, strong controls, and scalable processes.
This role requires a hybrid schedule with at least three days per week onsite in Dallas.
What you will work on- Provide overall leadership and oversight of the Black Line administration team, including day‑to‑day system governance
- Own all aspects of the Black Line system, including security, data management, controls, reporting, and system configuration
- Lead Black Line optimization and implementation efforts, including design, validation, cross‑functional coordination, and post go‑live support
- Partner closely with the SAP implementation team to ensure alignment between Black Line and SAP processes
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Black Line account manager, maintaining a strong vendor partnership
- Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to accounting leadership and executive stakeholders
- Manage Black Line system budgeting, cost monitoring, chargebacks, and related invoice processing
- Collaborate with accounting, finance, IT, and other teams on transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Deep expertise in Black Line administration and leadership
- Proven experience leading Black Line implementations and/or major optimization initiatives
- Experience partnering with ERP implementation teams (SAP experience strongly preferred)
- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, initiative, and ownership
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong analytical, examination, and reporting capabilities
- Adaptable, flexible problem‑solver who can approach challenges from multiple perspectives
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally
- Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite
- Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors
- Pay Range: $70‑85 per hour W2 non‑exempt
