Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Service Now applications and integrations.
- Act as the technical lead for Service Now development teams, providing guidance and code reviews.
- Customize and configure Service Now modules including ITOM, HRSD, CSM (as applicable).
- Develop business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, Script Includes, and workflows/Flow Designer.
- Design and implement Service Now integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and APIs.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure platform performance, scalability, and security best practices.
- Manage upgrades, patching, and version compatibility.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and provide advanced technical support.
- Maintain documentation including technical design, development standards, and deployment procedures.
- Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to Service Now development best practices.
- Support UAT, production deployments, and post-go-live support.
Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years of hands-on Service Now development
. - In-depth knowledge of Service Now data model and CMDB.
- Experience with Service Now integrations and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Flow Designer and legacy workflows.
- Strong understanding of Service Now security model, ACLs, and roles.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required
- Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Required
- Service Now Implementation Specialist – Preferred
- Service Now Architect certification – Nice to have
- Experience with Service Now Discovery and Service Mapping.
- Knowledge of Performance Analytics and Reporting.
- Experience in multi-instance, large enterprise environments.
- Exposure to Dev Ops and CI/CD with Service Now.
