Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of Service Now applications and integrations.
  • Act as the technical lead for Service Now development teams, providing guidance and code reviews.
  • Customize and configure Service Now modules including ITOM, HRSD, CSM (as applicable).
  • Develop business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, Script Includes, and workflows/Flow Designer.
  • Design and implement Service Now integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and APIs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure platform performance, scalability, and security best practices.
  • Manage upgrades, patching, and version compatibility.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide advanced technical support.
  • Maintain documentation including technical design, development standards, and deployment procedures.
  • Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to Service Now development best practices.
  • Support UAT, production deployments, and post-go-live support.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years of hands-on Service Now development
    .
  • In-depth knowledge of Service Now data model and CMDB.
  • Experience with Service Now integrations and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Flow Designer and legacy workflows.
  • Strong understanding of Service Now security model, ACLs, and roles.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications
  • Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required
  • Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Required
  • Service Now Implementation Specialist – Preferred
  • Service Now Architect certification – Nice to have
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Service Now Discovery and Service Mapping.
  • Knowledge of Performance Analytics and Reporting.
  • Experience in multi-instance, large enterprise environments.
  • Exposure to Dev Ops and CI/CD with Service Now.
