Overview Of Position

As a Solution Architect, you will support a team of Account Directors (internal) and Resellers (external) in driving overall revenue and growth for existing Enterprise customers in the Broadcom Software portfolio (e.g., VMware, CA Technologies, Symantec). You will act as a subject‑matter expert, providing pre‑sales technical guidance, post‑sales lifecycle support, and operational consulting for modern private‑cloud offerings, with a specialization in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).

This is a quota‑carrying position located in Broadcom’s office in Plano, TX. Solution Architects are expected to be in the office every day.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert in select areas of the Broadcom Software portfolio.
  • Employ strong interpersonal and communication skills with clients (external) and internal product‑team leadership.
  • Manage a pipeline of active deals to ensure long‑term sustainability.
  • Drive high‑impact results for customers evaluating, implementing, and adopting private‑cloud and modern application infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior‑level decision makers across assigned accounts (including end‑user customers and Resellers).
  • Communicate Broadcom’s ability to address enterprise‑software needs and overall IT business objectives.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in pre‑sale technical scoping and post‑sale product adoption, including opportunities for increased consumption.
  • Exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • At least 12 years of customer‑facing B2B experience, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Ability to assimilate and apply technical knowledge.
  • Prior experience in meeting/exceeding sales quota.
  • Strong understanding of a value‑based sales approach.
  • Significant experience managing a pipeline of active deals.
Additional Qualifications
  • Current VMware certifications.
  • Prior experience in a startup organization.
  • Strong background in B2B software solutions.
Compensation and Benefits

The On‑Target Earnings (OTE) range for this position is $174,400 – $279,000. OTE includes Sales Incentive Commission in accordance with relevant plan documents. This position is also eligible for equity in accordance with equity plan documents and agreements.
