Job Description:Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager specializing in Managed File Transfer (MFT) with deep expertise in Axway Secure Transport.
The role is responsible for managing, supporting, and enhancing secure file transfer environments, maintaining high customer engagement, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading technical initiatives.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical capabilities, leadership skills, and excellent customer-facing communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external clients regarding MFT services.
- Troubleshoot technical issues including file transfer failures, connection issues, server operations, and application errors.
- Manage Axway Secure Transport administration, including account setup, transfer sites, routing, file tracking, credential management, and certificate administration.
- Respond to customer problem tickets, conduct system usage education, and ensure smooth onboarding and support.
- Coordinate customer engagement, ensuring timely communication regarding incidents, updates, and enhancements.
- Conduct quarterly application updates, apply hotfixes as needed, and maintain application and OS configuration settings.
- Perform system monitoring using application and external monitoring tools.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for system support (one week primary, one week secondary, three-person rotation).
- Document new implementations, modifications, and decommissions thoroughly.
- Lead and mentor team members, oversee execution of key initiatives, and ensure logical designs align with architectural standards.
- Serve as the bridge between engineering teams and management, influencing strategic direction.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS through regular audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Axway Secure Transport configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTP, HTTPS, and AS2.
- Ability to write ad hoc SQL queries.
- Solid understanding of system integration and scripting (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).
- Experience with ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management (preferably using Service Now).
- Experience with Linux server environments and enterprise server clusters.
- Familiarity with SSL/SSH certificates, SSH ciphers/algorithms, and PGP encryption.
- Understanding of security implications in data handling, especially within regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, etc.).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and related scripting.
- Certification in Axway Secure Transport or related technologies.
- ITIL Foundations Certification.
- Experience with Axway Sentinel monitoring tools.
- Previous work in environments with strict regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI DSS).
- Experience developing API integrations and managing system vulnerabilities for audit readiness.
