SAP LE SCM Practice Lead

Role Overview

The SAP SCM Practice Lead will direct and expand the Supply Chain Management practice within SAP, driving strategic growth, delivery excellence, and innovation across SAP SCM solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP SCM (S/4

HANA, IBP, EWM, TM, PP, MM, APO), leadership acumen, business development skills, and client advisory capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Practice Leadership & Strategy

• Define and execute the SAP SCM practice roadmap, aligning with organizational goals.
• Build reusable assets, accelerators, and frameworks to enhance delivery efficiency.
• Collaborate with SAP and ecosystem partners to stay current with product innovations and certifications.
• Develop go‑to‑market strategies and service offerings for SAP SCM.

Business Development & Client Engagement

• Lead pre‑sales efforts: proposal development, solution design, estimations, and RFP responses.
• Engage with CXOs and supply chain leaders to position SAP SCM as a digital transformation enabler.
• Identify and drive new business opportunities in existing and new accounts.
• Support client workshops, demos, and design sessions.

Delivery Management

• Oversee successful delivery of SAP SCM projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Provide governance, best practices, and risk management for ongoing projects.
• Partner with project managers to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction.

People & Capability Development

• Build, mentor, and manage a high‑performing team of SAP SCM consultants and architects.
• Develop training programs and certification roadmaps for team members.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Thought Leadership

• Represent the organization in SAP and industry forums, conferences, and webinars.
• Publish whitepapers, case studies, and thought leadership content on SCM transformation.
• Track and evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML in SCM, automation, analytics) relevant to SAP SCM.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of overall SAP experience, with at least 5 years in leadership or practice management roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience in SAP SCM modules—IBP, EWM, TM, PP, MM, or APO.
• At least 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations.
• Proven ability to build, lead, and grow consulting teams.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes and industry dynamics.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• SAP SCM / S/4
  
  HANA certifications preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.

• Exposure to AI, RPA, or Analytics in the supply chain context.
