Aimbridge Corporate — Regional Human Resources Director

Location:

The Regional HR Director acts as a strategic partner to operations, aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated markets. The Director serves as a consultant to Operations on HR‑related issues, an associate champion, change agent, and culture ambassador, executing organizational initiatives in alignment with HR goals. Exempt associates are expected to work as necessary to complete responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a hotel or similar industry; or a 4‑year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2‑year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience.
  • Previous supervisory responsibility.
  • College coursework in a related field helpful.
  • Familiarity with employment laws.
  • Proficient with Windows Operating Systems.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Effective in handling workplace problems, anticipating, preventing and solving them.
  • Ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources.
  • Active listening, understanding, clarifying and resolving concerns of coworkers and guests.
  • Financial literacy and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements and labor‑relations processes preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Consult with Operations, providing HR guidance.
  • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of legal requirements and reduce legal risks.
  • Serve as policy expert to help Operations adhere to company policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee‑relations issues; conduct thorough investigations.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new managers and provide facilitation and guidance.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR function to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Partner with Operations to improve work relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
  • Provide guidance and input on workforce planning, performance management and succession planning.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of HR programs.
  • Actively participate in HR meetings to ensure deployment and process consistency.
  • Provide onboarding and ongoing support to HR directors and GMs.
  • Train and guide on‑property HR contacts on responsibilities and duties.
  • Develop processes to help properties maintain high HR effectiveness.
  • Promote learning and self‑sufficiency by ensuring HR directors and GMs can sustain best practices.
  • Interpret policy and ensure accurate, consistent application of policies and laws.
  • Stay informed of local legislative changes and implement solutions with Corporate HR.
  • Act as trusted advisor and resource for leadership and staff.
  • Coach management on employee relations, engagement, retention and compliance.
  • Support talent‑management efforts: development, succession, engagement, coaching and team building.
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR and fellow RHRDs on projects and challenges.
  • Contribute positively to an HR culture of professionalism and distinction.
  • Engage in networking and professional development.
  • Build partnerships across HR and Operations to deliver value‑added service aligned with business objectives.
  • Participate in Hotel Acquisition activities as directed, with no more than 40% of time away.
