Summary: Oversee day-to-day HR functions and processes, including benefit administration, new hire orientation, strategy, development and implementation.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience

Work Experience: Minimum 4-5 years Generalist or Progressive HR Experience

Reports To: Human Resources Manager

Physical and/or Special None

Requirements:

FLSA Classification: Non Exempt

Working conditions: Office environment

Responsibilities: (Described as essential functions of the job):

  • Issue offer letters and track acceptances/declines
  • Responsible for onboarding process and clearing employees to begin working
  • Assure all benefit information is updated and available to employees
  • Responsible for assuring all employee information is entered, updated and correct in the HR/Benefits and Payroll databases
  • Train employees on current Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state and local legislation
  • Assure all required training has been set up and completed
  • Review, maintain and build policies
  • Work cohesively to maintain guidelines for day-to-day HR processes
  • Conduct initial investigations relating to employee relations issues
  • Ability to work with confidential information and to apply maturity and discretion in a daily operational role
  • Prepare termination and severance letters

Special Skills:

  • Ability to work independently as well as with management and employees, including those with diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, and work on multiple deadline-driven priorities
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local HR-related laws
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Skilled in problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Experienced with HRIS and Microsoft Office
  • SAP and Paychex knowledge helpful
  • Ability to observe, understand, and interpret ambiguous issues and apply critical thinking strategies to find solutions
  • Assist in execution of annual processes, including but not limited to performance management, promotions and career development
