Summary: Oversee day-to-day HR functions and processes, including benefit administration, new hire orientation, strategy, development and implementation.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
Work Experience: Minimum 4-5 years Generalist or Progressive HR Experience
Reports To: Human Resources Manager
Physical and/or Special None
Requirements:
FLSA Classification: Non Exempt
Working conditions: Office environment
Responsibilities: (Described as essential functions of the job):
- Issue offer letters and track acceptances/declines
- Responsible for onboarding process and clearing employees to begin working
- Assure all benefit information is updated and available to employees
- Responsible for assuring all employee information is entered, updated and correct in the HR/Benefits and Payroll databases
- Train employees on current Policies and Procedures
- Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state and local legislation
- Assure all required training has been set up and completed
- Review, maintain and build policies
- Work cohesively to maintain guidelines for day-to-day HR processes
- Conduct initial investigations relating to employee relations issues
- Ability to work with confidential information and to apply maturity and discretion in a daily operational role
- Prepare termination and severance letters
Special Skills:
- Ability to work independently as well as with management and employees, including those with diverse backgrounds
- Ability to prioritize assignments, and work on multiple deadline-driven priorities
- Knowledge of federal, state and local HR-related laws
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Skilled in problem solving and conflict resolution
- Experienced with HRIS and Microsoft Office
- SAP and Paychex knowledge helpful
- Ability to observe, understand, and interpret ambiguous issues and apply critical thinking strategies to find solutions
- Assist in execution of annual processes, including but not limited to performance management, promotions and career development
