Overview

Internal Medicine Practice in Plano, Texas is looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist for Check In/Out. Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience as a medical receptionist in a medical office setting. Experience with eClinical Works or another electronic medical records systems is very helpful. We are searching for an applicant with outstanding customer services skills, who can multi-task, is detail oriented, and who is self-motivated and works well with others.

Part-time – Monday to Friday

Responsibilities
  • Greets, interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the check in/out process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.
  • Answer phone calls and directs them appropriately
  • Schedules appointments according to office guidelines
  • Ability to perform Online verification of benefits
  • Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting co-pays and deductible amounts
  • Prepares charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete
  • Ability to conduct all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments and scheduling follow-up appointments.
  • Performs duties involving record filing and retrieval and assisting with the filing of registration documentation in electronic medical records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
