Overview
Internal Medicine Practice in Plano, Texas is looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist for Check In/Out. Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience as a medical receptionist in a medical office setting. Experience with eClinical Works or another electronic medical records systems is very helpful. We are searching for an applicant with outstanding customer services skills, who can multi-task, is detail oriented, and who is self-motivated and works well with others.
JobType
Part-time – Monday to Friday
Responsibilities- Greets, interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the check in/out process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.
- Answer phone calls and directs them appropriately
- Schedules appointments according to office guidelines
- Ability to perform Online verification of benefits
- Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting co-pays and deductible amounts
- Prepares charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete
- Ability to conduct all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Performs duties involving record filing and retrieval and assisting with the filing of registration documentation in electronic medical records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Requires excellent customer service and communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
- A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
