The Social Worker MSW 1 educates and advises patients and families on coping with emotional or physical issues. This is based on the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners' scope of practice. Coordinates services like crisis intervention, bereavement, client advocacy, referrals, prevention, education, discharge planning, and psychosocial assessments. Partners in developing and implementing performance improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions of the Role- Conduct detailed psycho‑social assessments to interpret social, environmental, and medical needs of the patient.
- Employ advanced methods to develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans; provide patient and family education and serve as a professional resource.
- Provide or supervise care plans, including resource help, crisis intervention, prevention, education, patient advocacy, bereavement, therapy, and counseling. Partner with the healthcare team and involve the patient and family in developing and implementing plans.
- Serve as a liaison with community resources and staff; ensure smooth transition and placement of patients within the assigned service line.
- Partner with other healthcare team members to deploy interdisciplinary care of patients and achieve positive outcomes.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives including data collection and review, development, and participation in continuing education programs.
- Prepare and write professional reports, letters, and case summaries.
- Knowledge of human behavior, performance, differences in ability, personality, interests, psychosocial methods, and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
- Know the standards and methods to restore or enhance social, psychosocial, or bio‑psychosocial functioning of people, couples, families, groups, organizations, and communities.
- Listening and relational skills.

- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
- Ability to gather, record, and evaluate data.
- Ability to help people in recognizing and solving problems.
- Ability to handle grief.

Qualifications- EDUCATION – Masters
- MAJOR – Social Work
- EXPERIENCE – 1 Year of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION – Lic Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Lic Master Social Worker (LMSW), Lic Master Social Worker Advanced Practice (LMSW‑AP):
