Specific Details:
This role will be a phlebotomy role with duties to include vital sign measurement and rooming patients. We are looking for an experienced and accomplished phlebotomist who is versatile to take on these other tasks.

The Lab Tech 2 receives and/or processes specimens, performs clerical checks and supports functions. May perform phlebotomy.

• Conduct routine laboratory procedures where the range of possible errors is limited.
• Sort, label, and record patient specimens. Set up specimen, material, and equipment in preparation for Medical Technologist to perform tests.
• Operate centrifuge, simplex timers, cell washer, and other laboratory equipment in completing assigned duties.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.
• Participate in laboratory projects and educational activities.

• Phlebotomy skill for all age groups.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions.
• Skill in the use of computers and related software applications.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
