ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Credentialing & Onboarding Coordinator to manage the end-to-end onboarding and compliance process for clinical healthcare staff.
This role is responsible for ensuring all required credentials, background screenings, and onboarding documentation are completed accurately and on time so staff are fully cleared for deployment.
This is a compliance and operations role , not a recruiting or sales position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Credentialing & Compliance- Collect, review, and track required credentials for healthcare staff, including:
- Professional licenses
- Certifications (e.g., BLS)
- Background screening documentation
- Verify license status and track expiration dates
- Proactively manage renewals and missing documentation
- Maintain complete, audit-ready credential files
- Manage onboarding from acceptance through deployment readiness
- Communicate clearly with candidates regarding documentation requirements and deadlines
- Ensure all onboarding requirements are met prior to submission or scheduling
- Flag delays or compliance issues early
- Upload, organize, and maintain documents within internal systems
- Maintain accurate status tracking for each onboarded worker
- Generate compliance reports and credential rosters as needed
- Support internal reviews or external audits
- Serve as primary point of contact for onboarding and credentialing questions
- Coordinate with internal leadership on readiness timelines
- Help refine onboarding workflows and documentation processes
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare credentialing, onboarding, or compliance
- Experience working with clinical staff (nurses, allied health, technicians, etc.)
- Strong understanding of:
- License verification
- Background screening processes
- Healthcare documentation standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience in healthcare staffing or workforce solutions
- Familiarity with applicant tracking or HR systems
- Prior exposure to state or regulatory compliance environments
- Not a recruiting role
