• Obtain insurance benefits, verify eligibility and assist with authorizations over the phone and online with UHC, Evicore, Carelon.
• Calculate and provide time of service estimates.
• Research denials related to the authorization process.
• Submit appeals as required.
• Schedule patient appointments for MRI and CT scans.
• Review costs with patients, accept and submit payments effectively.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur.
• Provide patients with exam preparation verbally and via email with instructions.
• Assist MRI/CT Tech with patients, reports, and CD when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Familiarity with online insurance verification of deductibles and co‑insurance calculations.
• Dependable and self‑motivated.
• Experience using a variety of payer portals for benefits verification and authorization submissions.
• Excellent multi‑tasking, good computer skills, good attitude, personable.
• Understanding of importance of documentation and communication within and outside the department for coordination of care.
• Radiology authorization experience is beneficial.
• Ability and willingness to transition from one task to another.
• Position is in person, Monday–Friday, hours 8 am–4:30 pm.
