Radiographer (RAD Tech) - Full Time, Days
Join Texas Health Resources as a Radiographer (RAD Tech).
Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093
Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours;
Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm and Monday, 9:00 am – 9:30 pm;
Call and holiday required
- Variety of exams performed:
Fluoroscopy, OR, Trauma - Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Trauma Center
- Fast paced high acuity and volume facility with around 150 exams a day
- Collaborative Radiologist Group
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology upon hire required or
- Associate's Degree preferred
- 1 Year radiologic technologist experience preferred
- CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required
- ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to exam
- Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest
- Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations
- Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factors
- Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique
- Maintain attention to details
- Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed
- Utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS/RIS
- Correctly send and transfer images to PACS
- Print laser images from modality or PACS
- Coordinate with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities
