Radiographer (RAD Tech) - Full Time, Days

Join Texas Health Resources as a Radiographer (RAD Tech).

Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093

Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours;
Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm and Monday, 9:00 am – 9:30 pm;
Call and holiday required

• Variety of exams performed:
  Fluoroscopy, OR, Trauma
• Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Trauma Center
• Fast paced high acuity and volume facility with around 150 exams a day
• Collaborative Radiologist Group

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology upon hire required or
• Associate's Degree preferred
• 1 Year radiologic technologist experience preferred
• CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required
• ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

• Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to exam
• Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest
• Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations
• Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factors
• Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique
• Maintain attention to details
• Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed
• Utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS/RIS
• Correctly send and transfer images to PACS
• Print laser images from modality or PACS
• Coordinate with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities
