Certified Medication Aide (PRN) – The Legacy Senior Communities
Responsibilities- Obtains and records resident’s vital signs and weight.
- Administers and documents medications given by following specifically written physicians’ orders, including oral, topical, suppository, eye and ear drops.
- Reorders prescriptions and coordinates with pharmacy providers to ensure residents have ordered medications.
- Observes, records, and reports observations such as unexpected and untoward effects from medications.
- Assists residents with activities of daily living.
- Answers resident calls for assistance.
- Assists residents to and from the dining room and activities.
- Assists and monitors residents during dining.
- Assists residents with light daily housekeeping and trash removal.
- Assists Lifestyles Coordinator with carrying out activities for residents.
- Current CMA certificate in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1 year of CMA experience preferred but not required.
