position summary

the purchasing agent is responsible for purchasing, inventory management, receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies and medical equipment.

position responsibilities

• directs and coordinates material management functions.
• manages purchasing, inventory, receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment.
• builds and maintains relationships with peer department heads and leadership teams.
• focuses on continuous improvement of material flow, utilization analysis, and supply chain optimization.
• responsible for all medical supply/services spend and financial results related to budget/forecasting/targets.
• leads product conversion efforts.
• performs other duties as assigned.
