SummaryResponsible for the operation and maintenance of complex imaging equipment to produce high quality images according to established standards. Performs exams in Computed Tomography (CT) and Diagnostic X‑ray Imaging based upon exam order and images obtained based upon approved protocol. Ensures quality and licensure standards are met. Facilitates knowledge and is an advocate resource for technologist, students and others. This position reports up to the Team Lead or Manager.
- Has developed proficiency in a wide range of technical processes or procedures through job‑related training and considerable on‑the‑job experience
- Understands the roles of all immediate team members and has a good understanding of how own team integrates with others
- Regularly provides guidance and support to more junior team members on challenging technical problems; helps them balance their workload and apply their technical skills
- Impacts the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of the team
- Works within defined processes but may develop an appropriate approach for new assignments
- Explains complex technical information in situations that may be challenging with respect to controversial subject matter or characteristics of the audience
- At least 2 years job related experience Preferred
- Two‑year Associate’s degree or equivalent experience Preferred
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography ‑ Upon Hire Required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT ‑ 1½ Yrs Required
- Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license 30 Days Required
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers – Required
