Essential Function: The Salon Stylist duties include consulting clients on hair styling options, describing the benefits of different hair care products, persuading clients to buy retail products and staying updated on the latest hair trends and styling methods. Additionally, Salon Stylists need to be expert people persons to attract and retain long term customers. This requires good interpersonal and conversational skills.

• 80% Provide cut, style and blow-dry services.
• Provide bleach, color, and hair tinting services.
• Demonstrate and sell hair care products and cosmetics.
• Proactively develop new customers.
• Consistently increase client retention by building relationships and pre-booking appointments.
• Demonstrate a commitment to providing outstanding client service.
• Show willingness to grow and continue education to maintain knowledge of the current trends.
• Keep station clean and sanitary.
• Safe use of equipment and chemicals.
• Perform laundry duties such as towels.
• Assist store in selling product, product maintenance, and customer service. Other duties as assigned.

• High school graduation or GED completion.
• 3+ years as stylist preferred.
• Licensing from a cosmetology school.
• Previous experience as a Salon Stylist or colorist.
• A wide pallet of styling and coloring techniques.
• Proficiency with hot irons, curlers and blow-dryers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal communication.
• Creative mindset and a good eye for design.
