The range for the Public Works Equipment Operator is $21.50 - $24.73 per hour; and for the Senior Public Works Equipment Operator is $23.71 - $27.27 per hour.

Distinguishing Characteristics: This is the journey-level classification in the Public Works Equipment Operator series that follows diversified procedures and implements processes to accomplish end results, within guidelines. Immediate supervision is available upon request. This class is distinguished from Public Works Equipment Operator, Senior in that the latter is a higher-level class in the series that performs more complex technical, investigative, and supervisory duties requiring a higher level of knowledge and skill.
