Job Overview

The Treasury Management Sales Officer will be tasked with providing exceptional customer service to Treasury Management customers as well as internal bank personnel. This position is responsible for developing new business relationships and expanding existing relationships by using a professional and consultative approach to sell treasury management solutions. To achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, revenue, and profitability, this position is expected to stay abreast of current products, policies, technology, industry trends and pricing.

Essential

Functions
  • Develop and execute a strategy to generate new deposits and treasury customers.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of treasury management services and educate customers on the features, benefits, and value propositions related to each service.
  • Conduct sales presentations, negotiate pricing, and provide cost analysis.
  • Complete necessary documentation, implementation on bank systems, and customer setup of TM products and services.
  • Respond professionally and accurately to customer service inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Manage individual pipeline and tasks as well as support various department functions in the absence of staff members or in overload situations to ensure deadlines and/or expectations are met.
  • Support the development and maintenance of proper procedures, policies, and systems to assure compliance and customer satisfaction with treasury products.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Assist with Audits and Exams as needed.
Secondary Functions
  • Facilitate training opportunities for bank personnel to become more familiar and comfortable with treasury management services.
  • Generate and/or support new ideas for treasury management products and services.
  • Assist with special projects as needed (i.e., RDC updates, Online Banking or App enhancements, new product launches, etc.).
Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Type

This is a full‑time, exempt position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Travel

Travel is expected 25%–50% of the time for this position.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This position uses office equipment such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines, calculators, filing cabinets and printers.

Physical Demands

This position will be responsible for writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 50 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.

Mental Demands

The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks and constant interruptions.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4‑year college or university
  • 5 years experience in banking as customer service representative, retail operations, treasury management support or sales
  • Proficient knowledge of online banking, electronic payments such as ACH and Wires, remote deposits, and account analysis
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; word processing, and spreadsheet software programs
  • Intermediate math skills; ability to calculate interest, account analysis earnings credit, and cost analysis
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to instruct others, train personnel, and write reports/memos/correspondence
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non‑standard situations
  • Ability to perform at a high level of competency with no supervision while performing duties
  • Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities
