Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
The Amlon Group is seeking a Senior Controller (CPA) to lead the accounting function backed by Private Equity. This role is built for a hands‑on, technically strong leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments and knows how to turn complex financial data into reliable, institutional‑grade reporting. You will serve as the architect of the accounting department, owning the close process, strengthening controls, optimizing Net Suite, and partnering closely with executive leadership to drive operational and financial excellence.
Experience in the industrial and/or oil & gas sector is required.
Compensation: $150,000–$175,000 base salary + annual discretionary bonus
Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, billing, collections, and cash application.
- Lead the monthly and annual close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
- Own balance sheet integrity by monitoring all reconciliations and personally completing complex or high‑risk accounts as needed.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions prepared by staff.
- Develop, coach, and evaluate the accounting team to maximize performance, accountability, and professional growth.
- Design, implement, and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and support scalability.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and data integrity.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and ensure compliance with all audit and reporting requirements.
- Lead and optimize Net Suite to support a best‑in‑class accounting function.
- Partner with executive leadership to manage expenses, improve margins, and support strategic initiatives.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or auditing experience, including 4+ years in an Accounting Manager, Controller, or equivalent leadership role
. - Hands‑on experience in industrial and/or oil & gas environments
. - Experience supporting organizations with $100M+ in revenue
, including demonstrated process improvement and system optimization achievements. - Prior experience in Private Equity‑backed organizations
, with comfort operating in a high‑urgency, high‑expectation environment. - Strong proficiency with Net Suite or comparable ERP systems (minimum 3 years required).
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, complex balance sheet reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
