Campus Standards Auditor
The Campus Standards Auditor plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, order, and aesthetic standards of the campus. This position is responsible for enforcing parking regulations, conducting routine compliance audits, and inspecting campus grounds to ensure they meet operational standards. The Auditor acts as the "eyes on the ground," identifying maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance issues to ensure a positive experience for team members and guests.
Key Responsibilities1. Parking Compliance & Enforcement
- Patrol & Inspection: Conduct regular patrols of all parking garages, surface lots, and restricted zones to ensure compliance with parking regulations.
- Permit Verification: Verify valid parking permits and identify unauthorized vehicles.
- Enforcement: Issue warnings or citations for violations such as unauthorized parking, blocking fire lanes, or occupying reserved spaces (e.g., ADA, EV charging).
- Vehicle Assistance: Assist with vehicle immobilizations (booting) or towing coordination as required by policy.
2. Campus Standards Audits
- Facility Inspections: Perform daily or weekly audits of parking garages, office space, and campus grounds, checking for cleanliness, lighting outages, and structural damage.
- Signage & Wayfinding: Inspect directional signage, clearance bars, and painted stalls for visibility and damage; report fading or missing signage immediately.
- Safety & Security Checks: Identify and report safety hazards such as trip hazards, broken glass, oil spills, malfunctioning gates, or suspicious activity.
- Exterior Standards: Inspect building perimeters, smoking shelters, and walkways for cleanliness, landscaping health, and structural integrity.
3. Reporting & Documentation
- Incident Reporting: Distinctively document all enforcement actions, disputes, and accidents using digital reporting software.
- Audit Logs: Maintain detailed logs of campus standard inspections, utilizing photos and location data to track maintenance requests.
- Customer Service: Act as a campus ambassador by providing directions, explaining parking regulations to confused patrons, and de‑escalating conflicts with professionalism.
Required Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- 1+ years of experience in facilities, office management, quality assurance, or property operations.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Attention to Detail: Ability to notice small discrepancies, such as expired tags, burnt‑out lights, or faint graffiti.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using handheld data entry devices, LPR systems, and digital tablets for reporting.
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with upset patrons or enforcing rules.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting issues clearly.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Physical Activity: Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods (up to 90% of the shift) and climb stairs in parking garages.
- Lifting: Ability to lift or move equipment up to 25–50 lbs (e.g., traffic cones, barricades).
- Environment: Work is performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) and in parking structures with vehicle exhaust and noise.
