Hiring: QA Domain Tester – Geoscience / Seismic
We’re looking for a Geoscience Domain QA Tester with strong seismic and subsurface expertise to validate complex geological and geophysical software used for interpretation and modeling.
This role is ideal for someone who understands seismic workflows and can confidently validate scientific accuracy—not just software functionality.
What You’ll Do:- Perform domain-focused manual testing of subsurface interpretation and modeling applications
- Create detailed test plans and scenarios based on real seismic workflows
- Validate seismic visualization, geological modeling, mapping/coordinate systems, petrophysics, and reservoir workflows
- Ensure scientific accuracy of computational algorithms and interpretation results
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and geophysicists to ensure domain correctness
- Support regression, release testing, and domain signoff
- 2+ years QA experience in geoscience, geophysics, or engineering software
- Strong understanding of seismic data and geological interpretation workflows
- Ability to evaluate scientific correctness vs. expected subsurface outcomes
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Experience with industry tools (Halliburton, SLB/Schlumberger, Landmark, etc.) is a plus
If you have hands‑on experience interpreting seismic datasets, well logs, horizons, faults, or reservoir models—and enjoy validating both science and software—this role is for you.
