- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop detailed technical proposals for BESS and PV solutions, including system architecture, product selection, and performance modeling.
- Specify MV equipment such as transformers, switch gear, and protection systems.
- Evaluate grid interconnection requirements and ensure compliance with utility standards (IEEE 1547, UL 1741, etc.).
- Create preliminary single‑line diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, and system configurations for utility‑scale projects.
- Work with R&D teams in Asia to ensure alignment between proposed solutions and product capabilities.
- Support responses to RFPs/RFQs with accurate and compelling technical documentation. Ensure designs meet customer specifications, site constraints, and applicable standards.
- Participate in customer meetings and presentations to explain system capabilities and value propositions.
- Provide market feedback to product teams regarding trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Support modeling of grid impact and system behavior under various operating conditions.
- Analyze system performance and degradation based on customer application.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in utility‑scale BESS and/or PV projects.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in customer‑facing technical roles.
- Familiarity with UL 9540, UL 1741, IEEE 1547, NFPA 855, and other relevant standards.
- Experience with PSCAD, SCADA, EMS, and control system integration.
