The Ash Group is hiring a Network Scoping Engineer (Radio Network Engineer) for our client (a world-renowned telecommunications company providing the technology and equipment that enables global mobile connectivity and 4G/5G networks). This is a Hybrid 12 to 18-month contract role based in Plano, TX
, offering a pay rate of $59.00 per hour. You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of large-scale wireless networks, specifically focusing on advanced 5G  LTE technologies.

• Compensation: $59.00 per hour.

• Duration: 12 to 18-month contract.
• Location: Hybrid (Plano, TX). Must be in-office 3 days per week.

• Serve as the Technical Lead for large-scale radio network design projects, overseeing scoping functions and technical organization for major metropolitan or statewide areas.
• Design and plan multi-vendor environments involving 5G , Massive MIMO, mmWave, and 4G LTE using tools like Planet EV and Atoll

• Perform detailed Link Budget calculations and Monte Carlo Analysis to propose new site locations and optimize tilt/azimuth settings.
• Execute network tuning and model tuning using ACP (Automatic Cell Planning) tools to improve system performance and coverage.
• Analyze Layer 3 messages for both 4G and 5G to solve complex accessibility, retainability, and handover (HO) success rate issues.
• Utilize optimization tools such as TEMS Investigation
  , Actix
  , and collect and analyze drive test data and performance statistics.
• Implement and experiment with RAN features relative to traffic analysis, specifically focusing on the relationship between handovers and network capacity.
• Identify add‑on sales opportunities by suggesting network improvements, feature activations, and parameter changes based on loaded network data.

  Experience:
  
  10+ years in radio network design and optimization with a BSEE/BSCS or equivalent experience.
• Leadership Track Record: Proven experience leading at least five projects, including two large‑scale projects as the technical lead for all activities.
• Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of Massive MIMO, mmWave, LAA, IOT, and CBRS alongside expert‑level proficiency in LTE/5G optimization

• Tool Expertise: Advanced hands‑on experience with Atoll, Planet EV, ACP, and TEMS
