The Frito‑Lay Supply Chain Productivity Sustainability and Food Safety team seeks a
* Supply Chain Engineer (L9)
* to drive projects that enhance manufacturing capacity. Key responsibilities include installing or modifying equipment, leading cross‑functional teams, managing project costs and schedules, handling procurement, and supervising equipment start‑up. The role requires 7+ years of experience, a BS in engineering (preferred), strong project‑management skills, technical curiosity, effective communication, and involves 25‑35% travel.
- Execute engineering solutions to bring additional capacity to Frito‑Lay’s product portfolio, including installation of new manufacturing lines and modification of existing production equipment.
- Participate in and lead cross‑functional teams of colleagues and outside resources, including plant personnel, equipment vendors, engineering and construction contractors.
- Define manufacturing and unit‑operation needs for project scope requirements and documentation.
- Independently lead medium and large projects.
- Apply engineering principles to problem‑solving and managing unexpected changes.
- Manage costs by developing project budgets, maintaining cost‑tracking tools, and actively controlling project costs to meet requirements; create project funding documents.
- Demonstrate time‑management skills by developing project timelines and actively controlling schedules to ensure schedule attainment.
- Manage procurement, including analyzing quotes, writing procurement documents, and tracking project procurement information; develop technical specifications and write inspection acceptance test plans.
- Develop, manage, and execute equipment installation and start‑up plans while supervising outside contractors and vendors.
- Manage multiple project deliverables, accelerated timelines, and competing priorities.
- Mitigate project risks through adequate communication and proactive management.
- Expected travel: 35‑40% of the time.
- Expected compensation range: $93,500 – $156,450.
- Location, confirmed job‑related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
- Bonus based on performance; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid annually.

- Previous project‑management experience in manufacturing (preferred).
- BS in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or civil engineering.
- 7+ years of professional experience.
- Technical curiosity and a desire to continuously learn.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, aggressive, results‑oriented culture.
- Ability to lead and drive an agenda to deliver results.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate well with senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
