The following responsibilities are representative of the duties and accountabilities of this position but are not a complete and exhaustive list. Employees may be required to perform additional duties as well as those listed below:
- Products & Deliverables: Serve as the focal point for initial contact to Management, Project Managers (PM) and other internal constituents. Define scope of work for proposals, direct/assign work, maintain quality standards, manage budget and schedule, recommend Lead Responsible Engineers, approve documents, certify design documents as required by state and local client and code requirements.
- Business Development: Lead proposal preparation, develop client relationships, assist in marketing the unit’s expertise and abilities to clients.
- Leadership & Staff Development: Identify and promote opportunities for site work, training, provide performance feedback and coaching, support professional development, demonstrate technical leadership, supervise the engineering unit.
- Organizational Support: Assign engineering resources, maintain staffing projections, approve timesheets and expense reports, conduct performance appraisals, support recruitment.
- Contribution to Business Goals: Meet applied time goals set for position/division/discipline.

Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of engineering experience including support for the nuclear power industry and 2+ years of leadership experience for Manager role, 3+ years of engineering experience including 1+ year of leadership experience for an Associate Manager.
- PE License is required for the Manager role.
- Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites.
- Experience working in a Nuclear Power Plant environment and familiarity with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) governing codes.
- Excellent verbal communication skills; effective communicator with the team, clients, management, etc., choosing the right mode of communication.
- Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.
- Strong coordination and team building skills; demonstrated ability to work across disciplines, divisions, and teams.
- Ability to assess and understand team strengths and weaknesses and adjust the level of support/oversight as appropriate.
- Ability to motivate the team and achieve goals through a positive, winning attitude and effective leadership style consistent with ENERCON's Defining Excellence fundamentals.
- Problem-solving and general scientific evaluation skills.
- Required to travel up to 15 - 25% of the time to client sites (expected to travel at least one time per month) for project and/or marketing meetings.
- Activities at client sites may require pre-job briefs and walkdowns, including occasional climbing.
