STUDENT MINISTER
Qualifications for employment at City Bridge include having made a life commitment to Jesus Christ, agreement in writing with the Beliefs and Governance statements of City Bridge and having a work history and a lifestyle that are consistent with biblical principles. Must be an existing Member of City Bridge or willing to become one.

Position Summary: At City Bridge Community Church, we believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ transforms lives. Our mission is to help people find their deepest joy in Jesus. We are seeking a Student Ministry Director who radiates the love of Jesus and has a passion for helping students come to know and follow Christ.
The ideal candidate will have a heart for discipling junior high and high school students, guiding them to love Jesus deeply and to share His love with their peers in meaningful ways. This individual will be called by God to a life of discipleship and will use their God-given leadership gifts to help fulfill the Great Commission among youth and their families.
The Student Ministry Director will oversee the discipleship and spiritual growth of students in grades 6–12 at City Bridge, collaborating with the family team to promote family discipleship with students and parents.
This includes setting a clear vision and direction for both middle and high school ministries that align with the church’s overall mission and discipleship strategy. The Director will partner with parents, empower the student ministry staff team, build and equip volunteer teams, and develop leaders—all with the goal of raising up students who are fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
MINISTRY DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral Churchwide Ministry
- Support the Lead Pastor in the accomplishment of the church’s mission for the glory of God. Align with the other pastors, staff, and church leadership to that same end.
- Provide caring pastoral ministry and biblical counsel with students, their parents, their leaders, and the full congregation.
- Preach and teach the Word of God.
- Partner with pastors to lead parents, leaders, and members of the congregation to build warm-heart connections with students.
- Partner with pastors to lead parents of students to be effective, biblical parents and primary spiritual leaders in their homes.
- Communicate with clarity both internally and externally leveraging available channels & opportunities.
- Lead with good judgement on what to communicate up to leadership.
- Serve as overall thought partner within City Bridge.
- Own event & project planning for successful outcomes.
- Contribute to the operational effectiveness of City Bridge through:
- Develop and maintain annual operating budget to steward ministry resources
- Timely approval and submission of expense reports
- Cross-ministry calendaring coordination and communication
- Approve payroll on a bi-weekly basis of part-time staff
- Professional execution of other job responsibilities as requested.
- Communicate with clarity both internally and externally leveraging available channels & opportunities.
- Lead with good judgement on what to communicate up to leadership.
- Develop and evaluate a comprehensive ministry calendar, events and trips for the purpose of student discipleship.
- Under supervision or the Family Director, in conjunction with the Student Ministry team, set strategic ministry objectives for both high school and middle school ministries.
- Successfully set the course & lead the ministry through practices that align with City Bridge vision & values.
- Cast Student Ministry vision in alignment with City Bridge Community Church.
- Effectively lead and develop the Student Ministry staff team, maintaining a high standard of excellence in disciple-making.
- Effectively recruit, coach & shepherd volunteer teams to do the work of the ministry.
- Provide a regular platform for training, equipping, and hearing from lay-leaders.
