Coordinator of CTE/CCMR Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Reports to: Assistant Superintendent for Date Revised: 04/2022
Dept./School: Administration/Located at TM-High School
PrimaryPurpose:
Coordinates and manages the District’s Career and Technology Education (CTE) and College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) programs and strategies to include serving as a liaison to the community, institutions of higher education, military recruiters, business partners, and CTE staff. Supports District personnel in all areas of academic achievement reporting (e.g., PEIMS reporting of CCMR indicators), data analysis and strategic planning, and communicating career pathways and Programs of Study information to all stakeholders.
Qualifications:Education/Certification:
At least three years of teacher experience in a CTE-related subject required.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local laws, guidelines, and procedures relating to college, career, and military readiness.
- Knowledge of secondary course requirements for assuring that students are on their identified track for college, career, or the military.
- Knowledge of successful at-risk programs or interventions related to assisting students who are not on track for graduation with their cohort.
- Skill and experience with program development, communication, marketing, implementation, and evaluation.
- Leadership skills and knowledge of acceptable supervisory practices.
- Knowledge of budgetary and personnel management.
- Working knowledge of the Texas Education Agency College, Career, and Military Readiness indicators and the State’s Accountability System.
- Knowledge of CCMR components and ability to help students achieve CCMR indicators.
- Ability to expand learning, opportunity, and preparation toward students having a more successful post-high school experience.
- Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing.
- Skill in interpreting data and reports, and using the analysis for increasing student graduation rates.
- Skill in working with computers, including but not limited to, email, internet, word processing, and spreadsheets.
